Chiapas Water Project

TCWP was founded in 2005 after a group of local (Northern Michigan) residents visited Chiapas Mexico and witnessed the illness and poverty perpetuated by lack of access to potable water. Compelled to share the gift of clean water, the Chiapas Water Project was born in solidarity with the Mayan indigenous communities of Chiapas.   Parterning with volunteers on the ground, all donations will be used exclusively to build appropriate technology water systems.”

The local volunteer committee consists of 7 committed folks from Northwest Michigan.

Total Cost $3500.00 USD. $1,100 USD went to general CATAS expenses including transportation of volunteers, purchase of tools, printing, etc
